i love Bamiyan Kabab! It is the BEST FOOD IN TOWN!

bamyan has very rude employees. they need to learn how to be polite to another HUMAN. Here i am not talking about one emplyee but all of them. i wonder if its because of the workload or if thats their culture's normal ways. i wish and hope bamyan's owner reads this... but obviously would ignore since his business' doing well.

Your message was taken seriously, and so was the arrogant and egoistic tone that you delivered through out your 'extremely' thoroughly researched 'opinion' of Pakistani people. It's reassuring to know that someone from a neighbouring country to Pakistan would hold such strong opinions against them.

Also, coming from humble roots, Iranians too are used to eating daal and chapati and whatever concoctions they brew up.

You say the restaurant is primarily for the Afghan and Iranian people, may I ask why that is so, when I am pretty sure that it may well be because of the 'bus loads' of Pakistani customers, that generate the most revenue for the restaurant. if it were meant to be specifically for a certain group of people then I assume Iranians would be off the list as well, or is it, that now you share nationality with the Afghans? A self-proclaimed invitation and right to something public, has never been heard of before.

It would be nice if you enlightened us with the number of times you've witnessed one portion being consumed by a bus load of people. Being a frequent customer of the restaurant I haven ever seen that happen before.

I dont care what part of Iran you are from, but having had high hopes for visiting Iran some day and also meeting the people, the example that has been set here is certainly not welcoming or courteous, infact it has been extremely negative.

If you are so against that nation, then why dont you join the countless other forums that are there, for that one specific reason, and not here, where people come to write their thoughts on how they rate bamiyan and not how you rate some other country and it's people!

In the end I would like to say, that this is a page for writing reviews for the restaurant and not for spitting the 'pestilent iranian' arrogance against one nation.

the kabab is the greatest food in the world

On the date of November 6th, 2010 decided to order a take out from Bamiyan, located on Dixie, Mississauga. I went online to search for the number so that I may call, when I stumbled upon a page where reviews from Clientele towards Bamiyan were written. It didnt take me long to get agitated and see the Irony in the comments that were written, and as an alleviation of my own consciousness I decided to add my two cents in regards to the matter.

In my opinion Bamiyan restaurant located on Dixie Mississauga is one of the best restaurant that offers very good food at a very reasonable price. As an Iranian I love visiting Bamiyan because it tailors to my sense of taste and culture, and the quality of food is top notch and consistent.

Unfortunately the numbers of Afghans and Iranians, who are almost non existent now, have dwindled because of one particular group who has infested the establishment and the diner experience. This is reference to the ever increasing Pakistani clientele who are slowly but surely dismantling the tranquility of the restaurants overall service and appearance. In the next paragraph I will outline why this pestilent minority group is responsible for the lack of attendance in the Afghan and Iranian community who by the way the restaurant is primarily accustomed for.

The ever abundant and increasing Pakistani clientele tend to arrive in BUS LOADS, consisting usually handful of adults and a dozen undisciplined children who are in desperate need of an infant psychologist, and whose negligent parents should be reported to child services. The children are left unattended for the entire duration they are there. The adults tend to order ONE portion meals to serve a family of four or more which the restaurant has obviously portioned to serve ONE person. To accommodate the portioning of the one plate between the various people sharing, extra plates, forks, spoon and napkins are also required by the gladdened persons. Furthermore, the pop cooler is located in the diner area and designed for patrons to help themselves. It is always a wonder, how a group of 12 adults and kids occupying 3 tables brought close to each other for the purpose of sharing 3 meals have 2 dozen POPS on their table! Are the pops really paid for? Or is it considered to be their right since they are paying for the meal and something ought to be given for free, or is it just being cunning and smart, or pretending to be oblivious to it? In either case all these deplorable actions are typical Pakistani behavior.
Consolidation for the complaints made in this forum?
1) If you complained about the counters girls being rude? A) Please be considerate and dont have your numerous undisciplined children yell and scream, it disturbs the atmosphere of the restaurant. B) Its a restaurant not an entertainment lounge.
2) If you complained about the service or lack of it? A) Dont order one meal and expect 5 additional utensils for the purpose of sharing. True that the utensils are free, but dont be surprised about the reaction of the person handing it out.
3) If you complained about the price being too expensive? A) You are served food typical to cater people deserving quality its not DAAL AND CHAPATI. In conclusion, please dont attend, let the people who enjoy the food and gladly pay for it to come back. I hope my message is taken seriously.

Chapa Kabab and Afgani Pulao

Good food no doubt but the prices have to go down compare to the portions they serve! The girls at the front cash need training in customer service, they do NOT know how to welcome their customers first impressions are very crucial for a business.

The food and service is absoultely horrible, I dont even think I can call this a restraunt, its more like a fast food joint runned by very rude people

This is the first Afkan Restaurant I ever known and I ordered 1/2 Chicken it comes with salad, rice, and naan. Very nice gourmet food, the chicken is addictive if you eat once you will go there more often to eat that chicken. Very different taste I love it.

Kababs are OK, Rice dish is not so good. Plain rice with black peppers.and slow service.

I would rate it 10/10. The food is great! Fast and friendly service. You may spend more than a regular restaurant but it is worth it. The Service is great and the food is great. An amazing experience!

I have been going to Bamiyan for 3 years now. Not once, I have had any problem. Everything I have tried is amazing. Just today I noticed the chicken breast qorma. I think I will try that next time )

Best Kabab in Town, service has to improve find a way to reduce the waingt time during pick hours.

Consistent good food. Very busy and sometimes have to wait.

I WAS INVITED TO THIS RESTURANT LAST WEEKEND , WHEN I ENTERED I NEVER THOUGHT THE FOOD WILL BE SO GOOD , AND ALL MY FAMILY ESPECIALLY MY HASBAND WHQ HAS A VERY DIFFECULT CHOICES .
THE FOOD WAS VERY VERY GOOD I LIKED THE TENDORI CHIKEN THE SALED OR SOUCE WITH HOT PAPPER AND CORIANDER I LIKED THE DESSERT SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH .
I HOPE IT WILL STAY AS GOOD AS IT NOW.

There foood is great..reall afghan food...with great taste...but they should put more in there menu like mantoo and other stuf..but they charge alot i think there prices should go down and that will provide them with more customeers other wize its a great tasting resturant

It was fantastical, i impressed very much. i've been in Canada for 35 years and its the bestest food i have had.i will feed to my students in my enlgash class.

unfortunately they have only one item in lamb which is chopan kabab they should have more choices of lamb too for those customes who don't eat beef. i like the food its very good specialy there firnee's are too good

Unfortunately there is much lacking in terms of traditional Afghani specialties such as Mantu and Oshak. The food is decent and the interior is spartan. There appears to be many general items which are common to Pakistani and South Asian cuisine such as the various Kebabs and rice pilao dishes. I suppose this is done for the clientele which is largely Pakistani but there should be more uniquely Afghani items on the menu too.

Excellent food. Always fresh. Number 1 food in Mississauga.
Especially the Kababs.

Recently the taste of their food is becoming more Indian than afghan.
Disappointing especially the rice.

Bamiyan food is no doubt good.. but for the last 2 visits they increased their prices with less rice in the combo meal so it is not sufficient for 1 person.. secondly I found the staff very rude esp a young girl working at the counter through credit cards and reciet .. insulting the customer doesn't have proper ettiqueetes......

I've been to Bamiyan at least 10 times in the past 7 months. Food quality and taste is top notch. Seating Hall and restrooms are clean as well. I highly recommend this place!
