Mr Jerk

I uses to live in Malton, now I live in Scarborough and drive to Maltons
Mr.Jerk because it simply is the best in the city!!!
We deal with shitty service all the time, gas stations, grocery stores,
Walmart, yet most of us just grin an bare it. For the quality an quantity of food
I am a repeat customer, as 85 % of you are!!

I'm a regular customer there, I can confirm that the service is slow and frustrating, and the place isn't clean, and I'm not sure that they are actually speaking English, but the Jerk Chicken and Jerk Pork are some of the best I've ever had. I order by simply saying 'Small Pork', and reply No. to Salad?. Cash Only.

I agree with the first review. My husband and I just went in at 230 pm tp pick up a meal for his friends at work.
What is funny is that my husband was buying their food to introduce it to his non caribbean friends at work.
When we got in the store the woman serving the food was so unpleasant, her face was all puffed up and when my husband asked for a second jerk lunch, she was so upset and started grumbling under her breath.
(I guess she was upset because he did not place both orders at once)
The serves stinks, I personally would never eat or refer anyone to this place.
The food might be good, but the service is horrible.
These are the people that makes Jamaican look bad. They need emergency customer service training.

Horrible service. Staff are rude as hell, and it's true that they are welcoming to fellow Jamaicans. I have seen it for myself. They are the face of the restaurant, and yet their face is so swell up and screw face whenever you walk in.

Of course the good is excellent its home made but they are not very happy when none Jamaicans are in the shop. I know people who work there and they'd perfer Jamaican clients only.

The service sucks!!!! I cant believe how miserable the staff were, and very rude. First and last time there.....you better know what you want before, and dont ask questions, otherwise you get the nastiest look ever!!!!! The food was fine but they just lost 5 customers.

Great food. Possibly the best jerk chicken I've ever had.

Horrible service. Staff need to drop the back home rude attitude and treat their customers properly and with respect. How about a hello, or hi....instead of a wha yuh want?. The place can use a cleanup as well.

I'm sure customers return because of the great food, so compliments to the chef, and not their serving staff.

The food is excellent. We must show some tollerance too. It's very busy sometimes and sometimes we don't make up our minds readily when we're ordering and cause chaos. So show a little more tolerance and try to have an idea of what you would like to order on a busy lunch hour. One love to all.

As most people have stated. The food is good. The staff/service/atmosphere is severely lacking. But if the food is good, thats the bottom line for me...until I find a equally good place in the neighbourhood with better service/staff/atmosphere.

My fiancee introduced me to this great little jerk place.The resturant needs to expand but they always have line ups out the door so I can't see them closing down to renovate.

The Customer Service provided at this location is very unwelcoming. The staff's are very unpleasant, They neither say hello or thank you or even say goodbye. When food order made are processing, you as the customer are not given any change to see what was purchase and place in the container. If you do ask to see the item, you are force to recken with negitave attude by staff member. The enviroment is very clottered and messy at all time. With both combination, creates very bad service and I would not recomend this Location to any one.

You can't deny the food being very tasty but I will agree - the staff are unfriendly and rude. Suggestion only go there when you're in a good mood because you're gonna leave there in a bad mood after dealing with those people. Good food - Bad Service!

THE CHEF AT MR. JERK REALLY KNOWS HOW TO THROW DOWN. YOU CAN ALWAYS COUNT ON THE FOOD BEING TASTY.

Food is very good. The only problem is that the rice is sometimes a bit dry.
As far as the establishment goes this location really needs to think about expanding so they can accommodate the ever growing clienelle.....many people leave because the line up is too long.

This is my favourite Jerk restaurant in the Malton area, on account of the food. The line up can be quite long sometimes, and when this happens, the staff can get a bit stressed out!!! But I keep coming back for the Jerk Pork, simply the best around for the money.

Food good service is very slow whether it's just you or a whole line up. However, it's just part of the charm and good Jerk.

Food is overcooked and dry. Rice is terrible. The place is dirty. Would never go back!

Excellent Excellent Excellent,,, the best Jerk Food I ever ate and I and eating for the last 8 years , nobody can beat this place, I just wish they had Seats for patrons to sit and enjoy , No complains otherwwise.

Food is very good but more space is needed. No seating and lineup is usually right out the door. Good sized portion for money.
